This project helped me appreciate design in all its forms. I had the opportunity to travel to Denmark and study the Danish design language firsthand. Danish Design, especially Scandinavian Minimalism, is one of the most beautiful design approaches I’ve encountered — it values simplicity, honesty in materials, and quiet functionality. Nothing is unnecessary, yet everything has meaning.
One of the main reasons I joined this excursion was to visit the birthplace of LEGO, and the experience was truly life changing. Seeing where LEGO originated helped me understand how deeply play, creativity, and imagination are embedded in Danish culture. In Denmark, design isn’t just about objects — it’s about how people live with them.
This trip made me fall in love with Danish design even more. I came back with a stronger appreciation for craftsmanship, form, and the emotional impact of thoughtful design. It reminded me that as designers, our work can shape not just products — but how people feel, interact, and connect with the world.
